“Costumes for a Cause” American Heart Association Benefit Fashion Show to be held
in Pittsburgh, PA
Pittsburgh July 21, 2011 – Chelsea’s of New York.com is partnering with Diana Rua
Media to co-host the 2nd annual "Costumes for a Cause", American Heart Association
charity costume fashion show and cocktail party.
All proceeds will benefit the Pittsburgh chapter of the American Heart Association's "Go
Red for Women" campaign.
This year’s non-profit event will be held at WHIM Station Square, a Miami style
nightclub located at 7 East Carson Street in Pittsburgh, PA on Friday, September 30,
2011. Cocktail party starts at 8:00pm, with the fashion show starting promptly at 10:00pm.
Guests must be at least 21 to attend.
Expect a night of fun, glamour, and local celebrities at the Hollywood themed “Costumes
for a Cause” charity event this year. In addition to a high energy costume fashion show,
this year’s event will include a pre-show cocktail party, hors d'oeuvres, decadent
desserts, a silent auction and raffle prize giveaway. Over thirty-five models will grace the
runway, showing the latest in couture costumes from Glamour House, J. Valentine and
Roma Costume.
“After my father passed away at age 56 from a massive heart attack, I realized just how
pervasive heart disease can be,” says Michele Garris of Chelsea's of New York. “I’m
taking action by promoting awareness through our events for this important cause.”
